What is CBD?

Cannabidiol is one of many non-psychoactive cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. CBD (cannabidiol) is the main non-psychoactive cannabinoid that binds to the receptors in your immune system. CBD is popular for its therapeutic qualities that can provide relief for many issues such as stress, pain, anxiety, inflammation, sleep, and digestive issues.

How does it work?

The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own. It also has two receptors for cannabinoids, called the CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are found all over the body, but many are in the brain whereas CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system. CBD binds to these receptors in a way that causes your body to produce more of them, therefor strengthening and improving the communication. Much of the effects of CBD are carried out by your own endocannabinoid system. CBD simply promotes the normal function of this.
